Marketing (or advertising) is the process by which companies advertise products or services to potential customers. ." It is an integrated process through which companies create value for customers and build strong customer relationships in order to capture value from customers in return.

Marketing is used to create the customer, to keep the customer and to satisfy the customer. With the customer as the focus of its activities, it can be concluded that marketing management is one of the major components of business management. The evolution of marketing was caused due to mature markets and overcapacities in the last decades. Companies then shifted the focus from production to the customer in order to stay profitable.

The term marketing concept holds that achieving organizational goals depends on knowing the needs and wants of target markets and delivering the desired satisfactions. It proposes that in order to satisfy its organizational objectives, an organization should anticipate the needs and wants of consumers and satisfy these more effectively than competitors.

Marketing Plan who is person in charge in the company to prepare it & which companies needs marketing plan?
Q. Who should prepare the marketing plan is it enough for one person to prepare it? What type of companies needs marketing plan for example Investment Company needs a marketing plan?

A. Typically the Marketing VP or Manager or Director (senior marketer) is responsible for the marketing plan, although she/he also has input from other departments such as sales, operations, finance, product development. In a small business, one person can be responsible for developing the marketing plan. All businesses need a marketing plan: it is the foundation for sales (without marketing planning, sales can be a scattered effort). Yes an Investment Company needs a marketing plan: what's the market segmentation, target market, product differentiation, product life-cycle, promotion plan, pricing strategy, distribution program and so much more.

I need marketing ideas for a charter school. What are inexpensive ways to advertise & get more kids to enroll
Q. We are a charter school in our second year and want to attract more families on a very tight budget. Any great and inexpensive marketing ideas would be greatly appreciated. :)

A. In my opinion, its not really the kids you want to attract, is it? Of course not. You want to attract the persons controlling the purse strings : the parents and guardians of those children. The children won t have a choice, will they? OR will they? I think you have to win over the parents and guardians AND the children. The Q is How? Your Q is at a pretty advantageous time - maybe. School is JUST getting ready to open for a new year. My Suggestions #1: IF NOT for this year, how about for next semester and/or next year? An Open House . AND the entire Board of Directors, faculty and staff should be on-hand to answer any and all Qs from parents and children. The Open House should have some light refreshments - but not cheap or… [cont.]

A. Marketing sets you up to pursue a lot of different career paths, including the ones you noted plus the following: Advertising / Promotions Public Relations Pricing Analyst Product Line Manager The jobs vary by industry and seniority or role, so you may want to take a hard look first at what industry you want to be in. The roles will be very different for P&G versus GE versus Ogilvy & Mathers versus Toyota versus Coca-Cola versus Dell versus Marriott Vacation Club versus Wal-Mart versus Mercury Marine, yet all of these firms employ a large number of marketing professionals at all levels of the organization in roles paying US$20,000 to US$500,000 annually. One side note: don't go directly from undergrad to MBA. You'll waste your time… [cont.]
